Hello, my name is Megan Cohen

I’m a Ph.D student at the University of British Columbia iSchool, pursuing a doctorate in Library, Archival, and Information Science.

My research aims to investigate the ways that records and recordkeeping create meaning and power. I am specifically investigating the ways that cults and other high-control organizations manage information to enact control and power, and in how members of these groups engage with their own records as part of deconstruction and healing after they leave the group.
